Post beginners - floaty summer dress

The workshop will build on existing sewing machine skills and help you master some handy dressmaking basics, gaining confidence to follow more complex patterns.

We'll teach you how to adapt the pattern to your own size, cut and pin fabric, sew seams and pleats, resulting in a really lovely, loose fitting dress.

Refreshments and cake included at each session.

To be sure you create a dress you love, bring your own (pre-washed) fabric and matching thread, or you can buy from our selection of gorgeous fabrics.

You will need the following supplies:

• 2m of very lightweight fabric
• thread spool to match your fabric

This workshop will run as two 3 hour sessions with a bit of homework in between:
Tuesday 14 August 2012, 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Tuesday 21 August 2012, 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm

You'll get the most out of this workshop if you have some sewing machine skills already.  If you've never used a sewing machine before, we recommend you try one of our Absolute Beginner workshops first.
